Leadership Coach

Dr Jenny O’Donnell graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 1992 and later returned to complete a Master of Veterinary Clinical Studies in 2000. She has worked at various times in both small animal and mixed practice while raising her three children.

From 2009 to 2012, Jenny served as part-time Executive Officer for the veterinary charity Vets Beyond Borders, contributing to international animal welfare initiatives while continuing to work part-time in veterinary practice.

In 2011, Jenny began teaching Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at TAFE NSW after completing a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. She then went on to complete the Diploma of Vocational Education and Training and the Diploma of Training Design and Development in 2015 as she progressed to becoming a Head Teacher and later to her current role as Team Leader, where she manages a team of Head Teachers across NSW. Jenny particularly enjoys working with leaders and managers to build effective and successful teams.

Since 2017, Jenny has been part of the journey to establish and grow the Northern Illawarra Veterinary Hospital with her husband, Matt, who is also a veterinarian and Lincoln coach. During this time she discovered the principles of Lincoln Institute of Veterinary Business and completed the Lead to Succeed executive leadership program, the Veterinary Leadership Mastery program, and the Certificate of Veterinary Practice Leadership (Advanced).

Outside of work, Jenny loves spending time outdoors with her grown-up children and her Cavoodle, Pepper. She also enjoys relaxing at the beach near where she lives and at the family property near Braidwood, where a creek with platypus provides a special connection to nature.
