Our improved communication with pet owners has created a more fulfilling environment for our staff, satisfied clients, and better care for our animal patients.

Sugarland Animal Hospital

In my previous career, I was involved in sales and business development. However, my friend, Dr Mike, who is also part of our practice, persistently pursued me for 12 months to join the veterinary field as a practice manager. That’s how my journey into the veterinary world began.

I started exploring solutions with Lincoln Institute of Veterinary Business when I realised the challenges we face in veterinary practice are primarily related to people. As the saying goes, “People are your greatest asset,” and that holds true in our industry. Our team is our most significant investment every month, and it’s essential to maintain, develop, and support this asset to achieve the best results for our clients and patients.

When we first introduced Lincoln Institute of Veterinary Business’ programs to our team, there were some sceptics. However, we encouraged them to be sceptical and put these new skills and approaches to the test. Over time, they experienced firsthand how these strategies produced positive outcomes, and their scepticism transformed into enthusiastic adoption.

One of the most impactful aspects of the Leading Edge for Veterinarians program has been the development of our team’s people skills. Effective communication and understanding social styles have greatly enhanced our interactions with clients and, in turn, improved patient care. We’ve seen a notable shift in our approach to client management, and the results have been outstanding.

Implementing these learnings has led to a higher level of medicine practiced by our team. Our improved communication with pet owners has created a more fulfilling environment for our staff, satisfied clients, and better care for our animal patients. We’ve transitioned from a focus on the challenges of veterinary practice to providing a higher standard of care for our patients and clients.

While I can’t point to a specific case, it’s remarkable that we now encounter fewer challenging cases because we’re operating at a higher level. Most of our cases run smoothly, which is a testament to the effectiveness of the Leading Edge for Veterinarians training.

I can confidently say our involvement with Lincoln Institute of Veterinary Business has been transformational for our veterinary practice. It has not only improved our business operations, but also elevated the quality of care we provide to our clients and patients. Your programs have been instrumental in our journey towards success.
