Dr Joanne Williams is co-owner of Wangaratta Veterinary Clinic, a mixed Practice in Northeast Victoria with a team of 10 veterinarians and 7 support staff, which she has operated with her husband since 2011.
Jo graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2003 and moved into mixed practice at Tallangatta Veterinary Clinic. After six years and the arrival of their first child, Jo and her husband moved back to her hometown of Wangaratta.
Jo has successfully navigated the challenge of working as a veterinary surgeon and managing a business, whilst raising three children and working with her spouse!
Jo takes a huge amount of joy and satisfaction in helping her team develop and grow. She has discovered that developing her own leadership skills has been the single most powerful tool for improving herself and her business.
Through creating leverage within her business, Jo enjoys serving on several community boards and committees, including as President of the Northeast Region Preschool Association board and the Animal Ethics Committee for GOTAFE.
Jo spends her spare time on her farm, enjoying a campfire, reading, and trying not to fall off her horses!
Jo is a graduate of the Lead to Succeed program, a member of the Lead to Succeed coaching team, and a Leadership Facilitator.
She is passionate about helping other veterinary business owners and managers improve their leadership and through this, their businesses, their family lives, and the lives of their team members.
